The retired 1940 Engine 27 was a 1940 Ford/Hahn pumper. It featured a 500 GPM pump and a 750 gallon water tank. It was replaced in 1967 as first due engine, and was retired in 1991 with the arrival of the current Engine 27. The chassis of the piece was purchased for $651.59, but the total cost is unknown. The retired 1940 Engine 27 was sold to a private collector.
